Education: Michigan State University

Dr. Teegardin graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been happily married to her husband Chad for 30 plus years. They have one grown son named Cody, a daughter-in-law named Jenny and two grandchildren, Colton and Annabelle. She has one horse named Penny and two goats, Oakley and Squirt. She enjoys spending time with her family, rustic camping, kayaking, skiing, hiking and reading Sci-Fi. She converted her mobile equine practice in 2013 and founded Sheridan Animal Hospital to provide high quality, comprehensive veterinary services in the local area. “I am blessed to be able to live and work in a small town community only a few miles from where I grew up.”

Chad and Dr. Teegardin own Sheridan Animal Hospital.  They have been married for 30 plus years.  He has always been her biggest supporter and that still shows today!  Not only does he keep the lawn mowed, the driveway plowed, and the sidewalks shoveled and salted, whenever we need something fixed or altered around the hospital, all we have to do is ask!  It’s like having our own magic wand!

Dr. Krista Kruszewski-Menter is originally from Brighton, Michigan.  She attended Grand Valle State University for her Bachelors degree and fell in love with West Michigan.  She moved to Champaign, Illinois to attend veterinary school at the University of Illinois.  Krista is very excited to be back in Michigan!  In her spare time she loves cooking with her husband, Ken, and being outside with her Alaskan Malamute Maple Blueberry.  She also likes reading thriller novels and doing crafts.

Aaron came to Sheridan Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant, on his way to vet school.  He comes back and works with us every break he has.  We enjoy his fun-loving personality and how much he cares for not only the pets that clients bring in but the clients themselves.  Look for him as our newest Veterinarian in the summer of 2023!

Brandy is our Practice Manager.  She went to school at Penn Foster where she became a Certified Veterinary Technician. Before coming to work at Sheridan Animal Hospital, she worked for almost 20 years at Spectrum Health United in Greenville, along with multiple other jobs, including working for Baldwin Quarter Horses for 19 years, working as a Veterinary Assistant at Orchard View for 3 years, and she did ride alongs with Dr. Teegardin for 2 years before Sheridan Animal Hospital was built. She likes horseback riding, bicycling, camping and walking her dogs. She has a horse named Flash, two dogs, Harper June and Sidney, and two cats, Dusty and Bud.  She loves taking care of animals and going above and beyond for the clients!

Tami is our Administrative Assistant.  She also does our surgery pre-registration.  She enjoys numerous hobbies and spending time with her family.  She especially enjoys the precious time she gets with her grandchildren.  She has three kids and three grandchildren! And she has two Doberman Pinchers that are also like her kids.  To all of the pet parents out there, we know you understand!

Jen is the Lead Veterinary Assistant here at Sheridan Animal Hospital and has an Associate’s Degree in math and science as well as a grooming certification from Penn Foster.  She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technician Degree program.  She has over 12 years experience in the veterinary field and strives to learn and excel.  Outside of work, she enjoys camping, fishing and hunting.  She also loves to relax with a good book or play some classical music on the piano.

Stacey grew up in Belding and moved around Michigan after graduation attending different colleges trying to figure out what she wanted to be when she grew up. She always felt human medicine was what she was supposed to do so she worked as a CNA and pharmacy tech while attending school for surgery and phlebotomy. Stacey then tried her hand in business owning and opened the ice cream shop in Fenwick. When Stacey landed her position at Sheridan Animal Hospital she knew animal medicine was where she belonged.

Stacey Resides in Stanton with her husband and 2 boys where she enjoys, hunting, fishing, quads, snowmobiles, camping, crafting/DIY projects, and hanging out with family. Aside from 2 crazy boys, Stacey and her husband also raised 2 German Shepherds, 7 chickens, a duck and 18 bunnies.

Nikki is our Inventory Manager, she was previously a CNA and worked at both United Memorial and Kelsey Hospital as a Float for almost 7 years. She joined the Sheridan Animal Family in November of 2020, making a big leap from Human Medicine to Animal Medicine. When she was a child, she drove her parents nuts by bringing home every critter she came across and begging “can I keep them?” When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her Family, crafting, spending time outdoors and so much more. She has 4 beautiful children and 3 crazy dogs to keep her on her toes at home. When Nikki is here, you can be guaranteed your pet will get lots of love and snuggles.

Teresa started in veterinary medicine right out of high school.  While working in veterinary medicine she has been a Receptionist, Veterinary Assistant, Practice Manager and Licensed Veterinary Technician.  Of all of these different paths, she LOVES being a Technician the most!  Her favorite part of the job is helping pets get well and sending them home to their families.

McKenna is another one of our Veterinary Assistants that went off to Vet School.  She comes back to work with us when she is on her breaks from Vet School and will be back to us as a Veterinarian in 2025!

Katie is also planning to be a Veterinarian.  She is currently going to Michigan State University, Pre-Vet.  She comes back to work with us when she is on her breaks and will be back to us as a Veterinarian when she completes school!

Desaray has been a Certified Veterinary Assistant with us since March 2021, she attended Animal Behavior college for her CVA and is currently attending Penn Foster for her LVT. Desaray enjoys kayaking and fishing with her friend Karah, loves horse back riding and spending time with her numerous dogs.

Holly has been in the veterinary field for 18 years.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her kids and her dogs.   She always has music playing whatever she is doing.  She loves taking care of all your furry friends!

Karah grew up loving all animals both large and small.  Since she was able to pick a “dream job”, she knew she wanted to work in the veterinary field.  She was an active member in 4-H throughout her childhood, showing a variety of animals.  She is a 2020 graduate from MCC with an Associates in Pre-Animal Health and is currently working on her LVT through Penn Foster.  She enjoys hunting, fishing and lounging at home with her animals.  She has a dog named Bella, a cat named Izzy, a herd of goats and a few geese and ducks.  She loves her Sheridan Animal Hospital family and looks forward to assisting in the care of your pets!

Kimmie is a Veterinary Assistant here at Sheridan Animal Hospital. After she graduated from Lowell High School, she was originally going to school to become an RN but decided that Animal Medicine was more fitting for her. She has had a passion for animals since she was little from reptiles to equine and everything in between. When Kimmie is not here caring for your fur babies she is at home spending time  with her Golden Retriever Black Lab mix, Nora and her kitten, Nya. She also loves to spend her summers playing softball and swimming at the beach but nothing beats doing what she loves everyday.

Lauran is a Veterinary Assistant her at Sheridan Animal Hospital, she has lived on a farm and grown up with animals her entire life. She has always wanted to work in veterinary medicine. Lauran enjoys riding horses, barrel racing, fishing, showing at 4-H and relaxing with her dogs .

Marissa joined the Sheridan team as a Veterinary Assistant in October of 2020.  She is working on obtaining her RVT license through Penn Foster and is looking forward to using her education to educate pet owners.  She loves interacting with clients and has great enthusiasm to help out as much as possible.  She enjoys spending time with her husband Austin and their two cats, Emerest and Isabel.  In her spare time she enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors and visiting with family.

Mikayla joined the Sheridan Animal Hospital Team in November 2021. She is working on obtaining her RVT license through Penn Foster. Mikayla was an active FFA her junior and senior year of High School where she went on to State in the Veterinary Science Competition 2 years in a row. She has 2 cats, Lou and Oscar, and 2 dogs, Bella and Bandit. She loves spending her free time bass fishing, watching snow cross and watching rodeos.

Kenna has been a  Veterinary Assistant with Sheridan Animal Hospital since March of 2020. Kenna is currently taking classes thru Penn Foster for LVT. Kenna lives with her 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 ferrets, and 26 chickens and multiple other pets, She enjoys shopping, playing piano, having fun with friends. She is a delight to work with and is always happy to see your pet.

Tiffany is one of our Receptionists here at Sheridan Animal Hospital, She is an Army wife and mother of 3 wonderful children. After Military, Tiffany and her family relocated to Carson City in 2021. Tiffany has always had a dream of working in animal medicine. Tiffany and her family have many pet, pigs, goats, horses, chickens and the occasional cow, however Great Danes are her specialty.

Tiffany J has been a Receptionist here at Sheridan Animal since February 2022. Tiffany grew up in the Sheridan area and is married with 3 children, 2 cats, 1 dog, and 12 chickens. Gardening, working outside, camping and family time are some of her favorite things.
